Posted by youngsierrans on December 16, 2008

seco-logoThe mission of the State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) is to maximize energy efficiency while protecting the environment.  This is an “information-rich” site.

SECO administers and delivers a variety of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs that significantly reduce energy cost and consumption in the institutional, industrial, transportation and residential sectors (through partnerships with Texas consumers, businesses, educators and local governments).

Energy Sources: Texas remains at the forefront of the nation’s energy industry. The direction Texas takes in energy policy will help mark the path for the nation. Texas almost certainly will meet future energy demands using a wide variety of resources, and our state is well positioned to benefit from the increasing diversification of the nation’s energy portfolio.

Learn more about energy in Texas from The Energy Report, a comprehensive study released by the Comptroller’s office in 2008.

Energy Efficiency, Funding & Incentives, SECO Programs and other Resources are expanded on.
