In addition to the film mentioned below by Molly, there are few other films (Up the Yangtze, Fields of Fuel and Flow: For Love of Water) entering the Environmental Visions Competition at this years AFI Dallas event.

From Molly Rooke:

Burning the Future: Coal in America is an excellent film being promoted by Public Citizen, and others across the U.S., involved in the fight against mountaintop removal coal mining and coal-fired power plants. There will be information and announcements at the 2 screenings by local and state eco-activists about the status of these battles and what people can do.
(1) Friday, April 4th 7:00pm, Magnolia Theatre, 3699 McKinney Ave., Dallas
(2) Saturday, April 5th 12:15pm, Magnolia Theatre, 3699 McKinney Ave., Dallas

CSI has been instrumental in the making of Burning the Future and we are pleased that this excellent film is beginning to have an impact. The lives of people and communities throughout Appalachia and the mountain West are directly effected by our continuing reliance on coal. There is no such thing as clean coal whether or not the pipe dream of sequestration were ever to be realized. It is time for an immediate mortatorium on coal fired plants and a national commitment to phase out coal and fossil fuels and invest in and phase in clean power now. Energy policy is the crossroads for our national security and saving the environment from global warming. Please join the national Call to Action,

  2. I am David, the Director and Producer of Burning the Future: Coal in America. I am truly looking forward to the AFI screenings of BTF. Please come on Friday night or Saturday afternoon, bring friends and family, and even kids (4th grade through high school). I encourage everyone to stay for the Q&A, engaging in the important dialogue that I hope the film will spark. Then please join the national Call to Action as noted by CSI above, who has been instrumental in helping me use film to connect the dots for you, the audience, between our energy use and the good people of Appalachia.
