Trinity River Guided Canoe Trip (optional Lunch), 8/25

Posted by youngsierrans on July 25, 2007

We are trying to schedule a guided canoe trip in August (tentatively 8/25) down the Main Stem/Sylvan section of the Trinity River and need *FIRM* commitments/RSVPs by 8/1. The cost of the trip is $35 per person which includes canoes, paddles, life vests, shuttle transportation from meeting place to/from river and an interpretive guide. The trip is approximately 10 miles long and would be held rain or shine. We would meet by 8:00 AM and then be shuttled back to the meeting location by 1:00 PM, where we can decide if we want to go for lunch. We need a minimum of six participants to book the date.

The trip will be reserved as a group event and needs to be paid in advance by Peter. If you reply favorably, Peter will send all YES replies (from Evite or youngsierrans email) an email on 8/2 confirming we have enough participants and outlining next steps. ** Due to the non-refundable, cancellation policy of the tour guide, we will need you to mail Peter a check so he receives it by 8/9 (details will be in his 8/2 email). ** Once all checks are received from the interested participants, Peter will officially book the trip. Two weeks lead time should be enough to secure the 8/25 date; however, the sooner all the checks are received, the sooner Peter can book the reservation.

The trip is hosted by Trinity River Expeditions ( See their site for additional info about what to bring and maps of the Trinity River (Sylvan section).

All 20s/30s are welcome; you need not be a Sierra Club member to attend. Please email Peter with any questions.
